Humber Violence Prevention Partnership

couple youth bridgeThe Humber Violence Prevention Partnership (VPP) exists to lead and co-ordinate the local response to preventing and reducing Serious Violence through a public health approach. It is one of 20 Home Office-funded Violence Reduction Units across England and Wales.

The Humber VPP started work in summer 2022 and currently includes the Police and Crime Commissioner, Humberside Police, local authorities, Youth Offending Teams, the Integrated Care Board, the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities and the Probation Service.

The Humber VPP is now recruiting Board members who will represent the voluntary sector and educational institutions. To find out more about the roles, please click here.

Over the coming months, the partnership will be analysing the local drivers of serious violence, commissioning interventions and improving data sharing between agencies.

The VPP will be supported by a core team hosted by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
