Additional Funding opportunities for Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Support Services

MOJ

Funding has been made available in line with the announcement at the 2021 Budget that the Government will further increase support for victims by raising Ministry of Justice funding to £185 million by 2024/25. This will include funding to increase the number of Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) and Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) to over 1,000 nationally.  The purpose of this funding is to increase advocacy, person-centred, trauma-informed support for victims and survivors of domestic abuse (DA) and sexual violence (SV) across Humberside.

National indicative funding:

  • £15.7m ring-fenced funding for domestic abuse and sexual violence support services
  • £3.75m of funding for 100 additional ISVA/IDVA posts

Applications are open to local public bodies, third sector providers and charities.

Funding will be granted on an assessment of need and application to the police and crime plan aims.

Please ensure you read the guidance carefully.

PCC Jonathan Evison said “This funding shows a firm commitment and opportunity to bring together the reforms in the Government's Rape Review Report and offers a significant opportunity to bring resilience to this support sector. Furthermore this gives us an opportunity to redesign how support is delivered and funded to make sure it meets the needs of all victims in the most effective way”.
