We are pleased to reflect on another successful year for our Independent Custody Visitors (ICVs).
Our annual report provides a snapshot of the work of our team of ICVs, which continues to be recognised with Platinum accreditation by the Independent Custody Visiting Association.
The team is comprised of local volunteers who make unannounced visits to the region’s two custody suites in Hull and Grimsby to check and report on the welfare of those held there. More than 400 detainees were spoken to in the last year to ensure their needs were met and welfare was in order.
