Kingston upon Hull

HullHere is the latest recorded crime data for the Hull City Council area for the 12 months ending March 2019, released by the Office of National Statistics on 18th July 2019.

Total recorded crime was 43,214. Compared to the previous 12 months this is an increase of 21%.

Key increases and reductions in Hull:

Hull has seen a 38% increase in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury went up by 16% and there was a 24% rise in the less serious 'violence without injury' category.

Robbery offences increased by 17%. Reported sexual offences increased by 23% and overall theft offences registered a 5% increase. Vehicle offences were up by 13% but reported burglary figures were encouraging at -5%. Criminal damage and arson offences were up 8%.

Hull saw a small increase in the number of bicycle thefts (up 2%) and shop theft also rose by 9%.
