Kingston upon Hull

HullHere is the latest recorded crime data for the Hull City Council area for the 12 months ending December 2018, released by the Office of National Statistics on 25th April 2019.

Total recorded crime was 40,907. Compared to the previous 12 months this is an increase of 16%.

Key increases and reductions in Hull:

Hull has seen a 35% increase in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury went up by 11% and there was a 23% rise in the less serious 'violence without injury' category.

Robbery offences increased by 15%. Reported sexual offences increased by 32%, but overall theft offences registered a 1% annual decrease. Vehicle offences were down by 7% and reported burglary figures were also encouraging at -10%. Criminal damage and arson offences were up 6%.

Hull saw an increase in the number of bicycle thefts (up 4%) and shop theft also rose by 4%.
