Kingston upon Hull

HullHere is the latest recorded crime data for the Hull City Council area for the 12 months ending December 2019, released by the Office of National Statistics on 23rd April 2020.

Total recorded crime was 42,670. Compared to the previous 12 months this is an increase of 4%.

Key increases and reductions in Hull:

Hull has seen an 8% increase in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury went up by 2% and there was an 8% rise in the less serious 'violence without injury' category.

Robbery offences reduced by 9%. Reported sexual offences also decreased by 4% and overall theft offences registered a 4% decrease. Vehicle offences were down by 2% but reported burglary figures were up by 4%. Criminal damage and arson offences were up 8%.

Hull saw a decrease in the number of bicycle thefts (down 16%) and previous increases in shop theft have reversed with a 4% reduction.
