Here is the latest recorded crime data for the Hull City Council area for the 12 months ending June 2020, released by the Office of National Statistics on 15th October 2020.
Total recorded crime was 38,857. Compared to the previous 12 months this is a decrease of 11%.
Key increases and reductions in Hull:
Hull has seen a 2% decrease in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury went down by 3% and the less serious 'violence without injury' category remained static.
Robbery offences reduced by 17%. Reported sexual offences also decreased by 13% and overall theft offences registered a 23% decrease. Vehicle offences were down by 28% and reported burglary figures were down by 14%. Criminal damage and arson offences showed an 11% decrease.
Hull saw a decrease in the number of bicycle thefts (down 41%) and previous increases in shop theft continued to reverse with a 25% reduction.
