Kingston upon Hull

Here is the latest recorded crime data for the Hull City Council area for the 12 months ending March 2023, released by the Office of National Statistics.

Total recorded crime was 35,272. Compared to the previous 12 months this is an decrease of 8%.

Key increases and reductions in Hull:

Hull has seen a 13% drop in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury went down by 16% and the less serious 'violence without injury' category decreased by 22%.

Robbery offences increased by 2%. Reported sexual offences showed a 4% decrease and overall theft offences registered a 10% increase. Vehicle offences were up by 8% and reported burglary figures were up by 17%. Criminal damage and arson offences were down 15%.

Hull saw an 8% increase in the number of bicycle thefts and shop theft increased by 13%.
