Kingston upon Hull

HullHere is the latest recorded crime data for the Hull City Council area for the 12 months ending June 2019, released by the Office of National Statistics on 17th October 2019.

Total recorded crime was 43,447. Compared to the previous 12 months this is an increase of 15%.

Key increases and reductions in Hull:

Hull has seen a 29% increase in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury went up by 8% and there was an 18% rise in the less serious 'violence without injury' category.

Robbery offences were fairly static with only a 1% increase. Reported sexual offences increased by 23% but overall theft offences registered a 1% decrease. Vehicle offences were up by 5% but reported burglary figures were encouraging at -4%. Criminal damage and arson offences were up 7%.

Hull saw a decrease in the number of bicycle thefts (down 4%) but shop theft rose slightly by 2%.
