Here is the latest recorded crime data for the North East Lincolnshire Council area for the 12 months ending March 2019, released by the Office of National Statistics on 18th July 2019.

Total recorded crime was 21,204. Compared to the previous 12 months this is an increase of 16%.

Key increases and reductions in North East Lincolnshire:

North East Lincolnshire has seen a 36% increase in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury was up at +9% and there was a 25% rise in the less serious 'violence without injury' category.

There was a 43% increase in reported sexual offences and robbery increased slightly with 20 more offences compared to the previous 12 months. There has been a 5% overall reduction in theft, burglaries were down at -2% but shop theft was up 10%. Bicycle theft was down 15% compared to the previous 12 months and vehicle offences showed a marked reduction at -22%. Criminal damage and arson offences were down by 3%.
