Here is the latest recorded crime data for the North East Lincolnshire Council area for the 12 months ending March 2020, released by the Office of National Statistics on 17th July 2020.

Total recorded crime was 20,363. Compared to the previous 12 months this is a decrease of 4%.

Key increases and reductions in North East Lincolnshire:

North East Lincolnshire has seen a 3% decrease in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury was down at -6% and there was a 1% reduction in the less serious 'violence without injury' category.

There was a significant 23% decrease in reported sexual offences and robbery also decreased by 20% with 47 fewer offences compared to the previous 12 months. There has been a 7% overall reduction in theft, burglaries were up at -4% but shop theft was down 15%. Bicycle theft was up 16% compared to the previous 12 months and vehicle offences showed a reduction of -8%. Criminal damage and arson offences were down by 4%.
