Here is the latest recorded crime data for the North East Lincolnshire Council area for the 12 months ending June 2019, released by the Office of National Statistics on 17th October 2019.
Total recorded crime was 20,896. Compared to the previous 12 months this is an increase of 10%.
Key increases and reductions in North East Lincolnshire:
North East Lincolnshire has seen a 29% increase in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury was up at +9% and there was a 19% rise in the less serious 'violence without injury' category.
There was a 6% decrease in reported sexual offences and robbery also decreased slightly with 2 fewer offences compared to the previous 12 months. There has been a 4% overall reduction in theft, burglaries were up slightly at +3% and shop theft was up 9%. Bicycle theft was down 14% compared to the previous 12 months and vehicle offences showed a marked reduction at -26%. Criminal damage and arson offences were down by 8%.
