Here is the latest recorded crime data for the North East Lincolnshire Council area for the 12 months ending December 2019, released by the Office of National Statistics on 23rd April 2020.

Total recorded crime was 20,780. Compared to the previous 12 months this is an increase of 2%.

Key increases and reductions in North East Lincolnshire:

North East Lincolnshire has seen a 7% increase in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury was down at -3% and there was an 8% rise in the less serious 'violence without injury' category.

There was a significant 27% decrease in reported sexual offences and robbery also decreased by 11% with 24 fewer offences compared to the previous 12 months. There has been a 2% overall increase in theft, burglaries were down at -10% but shop theft was up 7%. Bicycle theft was down 7% compared to the previous 12 months and vehicle offences showed a reduction of -2%. Criminal damage and arson offences were down by 4%.
