Victim Support - Service Update

Victim-Support Web Logo

The Police and Crime Commissioner's Office commissions Victim Support as the generic support service for victims of crime across the Humberside Police force area. Here is an update on how the service is continuing to operate in the current pandemic.

Victim Support have moved to full home working in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.  All staff are now home based and providing a service to victims of crime.  Our operating hours remain 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.

We are receiving referrals in the same way from Humberside Police and are still happy to receive referrals from other sources including other agencies and self-referrals.

Our Live Chat function is in operation between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and can be accessed from our website HERE as can the form enabling someone to pass their details to us via email.

We are looking at ways of communicating face to face using mobile technology with our victims but are currently offering phone support and have a number of digital tools we can utilise with service users.  This includes our newly launched ‘My Support Space’, an element of our national website which gives users the opportunity to access online support at any time.  Service users can find out more about this by contacting us in any of the usual ways including our main phone number on 0300 303 1976.
